catalog pricing

Post by momhager » Mon Jan 12, 2015 2:35 pm

Hello everyone, I am currently in my second week of homeschooling. I ordered the HOD catalog and absolutely love everything I see. I have a silly question. The pricing in the catalog is a little confusing to me. How much would the little hearts for his glory package be with all the extras?

If you got everything you needed for the year (bought a Bible instead of using your own, getting everything, etc) you would need to order

Economy Package - 81.19
Basic Package - 46.89 (kindergarten) or 69.83 (first grade)
Bible - either 12.99 or 14.99
Handwriting - either 11.75 (italic) or 17.95 (a reason for Handwriting)
and a phonics lesson thingy that is varied depending on what you get.

So if you get all K level the Economy and Basic package would be 128.08 and then your other things would be based on which you'd choose based on your choice. For example I use my own Bible and I've fluctuated between Italic and ARFH with handwriting and I don't do phonics. So all I would add to the Economy and Basic would be handwriting.

If you got all 1st grade level the Economy and Basic would be 151.02 and then add on whatever of your other choice you would want.

I really find it easier to use the website to see what everything costs because you can put things in your cart and see totals without thinking ;)

Thank you! The prices seem very reasonable. I am hoping I can purchase some before we get our income tax because I am so excited to start and quite frankly right now I'm just piecing things together (workbooks from Walmart and what not) and I have no clue what I'm doing so very looking forward to purchasing a package!

You are going to love how 'together' LHFHG makes you feel! I know I do! :D Nothing feels better than getting up and opening to a new page in my HOD guide and jumping right into teaching. It makes me feel like "super-mom-teacher" as we do fun experiments, create neat projects, and read the best books imaginable. I can't wait for you to start! :D
