I am not understanding why we start with EB Math 2A/2B instead of 1A/1B. I've seen 1 A and B for sale used, but can't see contents for either to see any differences.
Anyone know?

I think Carrie uses the Early Bird 2A/2B because it is considered more of a kindergarten program. The regular Primary 1A/1B is considered a first grade program and the schedule for that is listed in the appendix of LHFHG but in order to get Carrie's math explorations with 1A/1B, you need the Beyond guide. If you meant why not start with the Early Bird 1A/1B, I think that is more of a K-4/preschool program. You can look at the primary Singapore guides at http://www.singaporemath.com. It's my understanding that Singapore recently changed their kindergarten guides (don't worry though Carrie's got that one covered) so they don't have the Earlybird 2A/2B on their website to look at. Some other vendors like christian book distributors usually have sample pages on their websites. Hope that helps a little

Marcia,
I'll move your post over to the main board, since this folder is for testimonial type posts.
All new posts go on the main board.
As far as Earlybird 1A/1B goes.... those 2 workbooks are considered more preschool in their scope and sequence. The concepts, while interesting, are not necessary to do Earlybird 2A/2B.
We have written activities into LHFHG to cover a complete kindergarten scope and sequence, so Earlybird 1A/1B are not needed.
Blessings,
Carrie
