What ages are your kids in this program?

I'm just curious as to how old your kids were when you did this program. I'm doing it a little different since I'll have a 7 and almost 10 yr old doing it this fall. I know I could have done Bigger Hearts since it's for 7-9 yr olds but I really didn't want to miss out on the great books in the Beyond Little Hearts program! Especially since I have many of them and we haven't read them.
I know my DD will be the perfect age and since my son is a little slower in the reading area I think he'll still enjoy it. I talked with someone at the booth who suggested that some of the read-a-louds could be assigned as independent reading for the older one and I think that sounds great.

Just checking to see how others are doing it.

Hi Ann,

We are in the midst of doing Beyond with an 8 & 12 year old. We use a separate program for lang arts and math, but the bible, copywork, history, science, activities are great for the older ages

Oh good, glad to hear of others doing it with older kids. I bet I'll be able to get a few good ideas from you in the future

I know I won't be able to wait until fall to start because I'm so excited about it. I think I'll start July 1 since many of the kid's summer camps will be done by then and time to start something new.

I am planning on using Beyond for my dd who will be 6 and in 1st grade. I plan on taking my time to do it so it does not overwhelm her.
