Hi! I am a homeschool newbie! God called me to pull my kiddos out of our great public school for a variety of reasons, and I have found myself here at HOD. I have been researching ALL SUMMER, and HOD seems like the best fit for our family! I am beginning this journey with lots of excitement... and some fear, but I clutch the verses in Isaiah that proclaim "He will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him." And I am so thankful for such a Christ centered, academically sound curriculum in HOD!
My 1st grade son and 4th grade daughter (who has cognitive delays) will be doing Beyond Little Hearts, while my academically advanced 6th grade son, who is a voracious reader, is going to dive into Revival to Revolution. I was reading some of the "fine print" about Revival to Revolution and it says that it is structured to be 4 days a week, about 4 and 1/2 hours a day. Is Beyond Little Hearts structured for 4 days, too, or is it 5 days?
Thanks,
Carrie (mom of 4 kiddos in Indiana)

It is 5 days per unit. Revival to Rev is 35 weeks and Beyond is 34 weeks. The guides are 5 days per unit through the Bigger Hearts guide. The 4 days a unit in the upper grades is so they can pursue some other interests or finish up unfinished work from the other days, or whatever you want for your family on the 5th day. We have used the 5th day to usually just move on in the next unit and not miss a day. We always take lots of breaks in the spring and fall.
