Singapore Primary v. Dimensions

Post by Luvlee.leah » Mon Jul 15, 2019 2:34 pm

In the Bigger Hearts package guide I know Singapore Primary math is recommended, but I'm wondering if there are any specific reasons you would avoid Singapore's Dimensions curriculum.
I have 5 and 6 year old boys that are both nearing the end of Primary 2B.
Thanks!

Good evening!

Here are some links that should help answer your question!

I've used Singapore Math from K through 6B with all 3 of my sons and been amazed it has worked well for all of them! One is gifted in math, one just average, and one struggled more at the start. All are now doing well! The main reason I don't like the other versions of Singapore Math is they have gotten away from what made the original version so amazing everyone wanted it in the U.S.! As usual, it was then Americanized with a ton of other (unnecessary, in my opinion) things added to it. The beauty of Singapore Math is it was good from the start. Hope this helps!
