placement help

I am a little confused on placement for my son. He is 7 yrs old but reads very well 3/4th grade level with comprehension also he turns 8 in March so midway through the guide. The writing may be too much for him in Bigger and I am afraid he may not be ready for Preparing at 8. Even though it will be the later half of 8yrs old. Help!

Reading isn't a huge factor in placement as you can do the Emerging Readers or DITHOR with both Beyond and Bigger. I would personally go with Beyond if you don't think he is ready for the writing in Bigger.
