Slowing down Beyond with a 6yo?

Post by Jharp » Sat Jul 25, 2015 8:12 pm

My 6 yo finished LHFHG this last year for kindergarten and it went very well! My question is would it be in his best interest
(and mine) to move a little slower through Beyond and even Bigger since he is on the young side. I am worried as he gets in to the later years, ei. with preparing and CTC, he may get over whelmed from the increased work load. Any thoughts or comments appreciated for this novice homeschooling momma:)
Blessings,
Jen

One easy thing to do is drop down to 4 days of week for everything but reading and math. On that 5th day, you could do a co-op, field trips, or even just errands. If you did Beyond and Bigger 4 days a week, you would gain half a year.
Mom to
DD16 (completed LHFHG-WH, parts of US1 and 2)
DS14 WG (completed LHFHG-MtMM plus some of LHTH)
DD13 MtMM (completed Rev2Rev)
DS8 Bigger (completed LHTH-Beyond)
