went really well. I have recommended HOD to several friends. One of using it also, and one who will next year.
My ds really LOVED the history, science, read alouds, and the Singapore math.
Too bad he hates the reading and writing. That's just my son, and overall we feel this guide is GREAT!!!
A special THANK YOU to HOD.

Re: Our Year with Beyond . . .
I am going to purchase Beyond for my son that I am starting to homeschool. He finished Kindergarten for the second time but did not do that well. The school says he has autism. A lot of times I have a hard time getting him to focus but some of the activities like the geography activity on Unit 1 Day 1 sounds fun. How do you get your child to pay attention. He doesn't necessarily like listening to stories...
My other question is he does know how to read some. Should I just have him start emerging books or do Phonics Pathways? I have done about half the book of Teach Your Child How to Read in 100 Lessons and started using Phonics Pathway to firm up some of the things he isn't firm on. I notice he keeps pronouncing the "u" sound as the "w" sound..
