Shadow of His Hand

Post by chillin'inandover » Wed Feb 03, 2016 3:16 pm

How do I read this book through the tears? The only question I am having my son answer is, "What is something this book has made you thankful for in your own life?"
My Mother in Law, a Lithuania, lived in a refuge camp in Germany during WW2. She was sponsored by a Lutheran Church family in Minnesota since her family was one of the few Lutherans from Catholic dominated Lithuania. So amazing to see how she was in the Shadow of His Hand. Thank you Carrie for the wonderful storytime selections. They have brought up some excellent conversations with my introverted son with his living grandparents from Norway and Lithuania.

As a follow up to this post. My Mother in Law, kiddos Grandma, passed away August 22. Having this book was timely. She will no longer be able to share more memories. But what she did share was memorable. Thank you HOD for the opportunity this book opened up.
