Using with 8th grader and 5th grader

Post by momnwife » Sat Mar 22, 2014 10:29 am

Could this guide be used for an 8th grader and a 5th grader? We recently decided to slow down our 13 year old son. He is currently doing 8th grade work but is a very young 8th grader. He would graduate at 17 years old. We are going to slow down and allow him an extra year to graduate. By slowing down, he will be able to take some extra computer courses which interest him greatly. I want him to be challenged but yet don't want to overwhelm the 5th grader. Could this guide accomplish that goal?

Have you looked at the placement guide on heartofdakota.com? http://www.heartofdakota.com/placing-your-child.php
That is the place to start. It will help you to see if the guide is for them and we can help you as well. Typically, if you are wanting to combine two into one guide, you find a good placement for the younger and "beef it up" for the older one. Check it out and then come back and let us know what you find out. Then we'll see what we can do. :)
