I just had to share how much my ds LOVES doing this with his history!

I am very surprised because drawing has not come easily to him in the past, and drawing/coloring has not been an interest of his - at all.

Here is a picture of him proudly showing off his work (you can click on it to make it bigger):
So for all of you fellow moms out there with dc who do not like to draw or color - there is hope!
In Christ,
Julie

Oh Julie! That does my heart good to see your little Wyatt with such a beautiful picture. I remember how long it took for him to even learn to color or to draw the simplest figure. He is such a smart cookie in SO many ways, but this is an answer to prayer to see his little face shining with pleasure over his DRAWING! I'm SO proud of him, and I'm celebrating with both of you today!
P.S. Shaw is loving the Draw and Write Through History too.
Blessings,
Carrie

Hi Julie and Carrie,
What a great picture your son drew! I wish I knew how to send in pics. My 5th gr dd is very artsy and LOVES to color, so she is really enjoying the Draw and Write part of her program. Today she did a super job on her sarcophagus. I asked her to jot down Carrie's Key Ideas at the bottom of the assignment box to add to the bottom of her drawings to give them a caption for her notebook. They are turning out so nicely!
Thank you, Carrie!

Oh Charlene! I'm so glad that your daughter is enjoying the Draw and Write too! I'm not good at posting pictures either, but I love looking at everyone else's! What a great idea to have your daughter jot down the key idea!
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Carrie

Julie,
Wyatt's project looks great!!

Give him an extra pat on the back for me.

I love the stories that all of you "Preparing Pioneers" share because I know I just get to keep looking forward to all the fun learning we're doing in Bigger!

Thanks Carrie and Kathleen! I am so proud of him, and I'll have to tell him his drawing got rave reviews on the HOD board.

Isn't it silly how I worried and worried about him and his drawing for so long?

It's a reminder for me to be patient - a quality I need to continue to work on possessing.

Thanks for celebrating his gains with me here - I love the encouragement on this board - it truly makes a difference in my life and how I approach homeschooling!
In Christ,
Julie
