Thanksgiving

Hi,
We are just finishing up Unit 12, and we're still enjoying LH. I'm almost surprised how much my kids love to listen to Danny Meadow Mouse! My DD always wants just "one more chapter PLEASE!"
As Thanksgiving is coming up, and we do a homeschool group, we've been doing some holiday related activities. I skipped ahead and used some of LH's ideas regarding the Mayflower, and these activities were a big hit! (I'm talking about Unit 23 Day 3 Thinking Games).
Such ideas are one of the reasons I went with LHFHG! Thanks!
Does anyone out there have any great Thanksgiving activities they do with their kids? Any recommended books or DVDs? I'd recommend the "Mayflower Voyagers" - a Charlie Brown DVD in the "This is America, Charlie Brown" series. While it is annoying that the Peanuts gang does model some poor behavior at times, it overall presents a fun, in-depth recounting of the story. Also, my DD really loves a story called "New Friends in a New Land" by Judith Bauer Stamper. It tells the story from the viewpoint of one of the Hopkins' children who came over on the Mayflower.
Be blessed! Hope to hear from some of you!
