Reading aloud vs Independently

Post by 2Goo4skoo » Mon Aug 05, 2013 12:05 pm

I will be using this program in the Fall for my 5th grader. I will also have a 2nd grader, however, he isn't a strong reader yet. Could I use DIHOR with him, but read his books aloud to him instead of him reading them independently?

Thanks for the advice in advance!!
Blessings,
Tracy

Although it could be done, I don't think it is the best. HOD has a program called Emerging Readers for those able to reader but not completely independent yet though. The book list is on the site (look under Beyond or Bigger), and the information on how to use it is in both of those guides as well (in the appendix).
