Ordering over the Holidays from HOD??

I haven't had a chance yet to really think about our next semester which will begin after our Christmas break. I may need to place a last minute order. Does anyone know if/when HOD will be closed over Christmas and New Year's?

Re: As we move into high school, the design of the guides...

Just popping in and discovering a BIG conversation. I love the idea of launching all the science options in the first high-school guide. It seems like the detailed lesson plans for multiple options would fit more practically in the appendix with simply a box on the daily plans as a reminder. I am re...

The extension readings for REv to Rev

are so wonderful! I'm enjoying reading them myself at night before I go to bed. It's so delightful to easily be able to put my hands on a good book to read. :D

Re: Discouraged Today

He. is. 12. That says ALOT. Keep the lines of communication open. I would pull your husband in on this. He can do a lot with phone calls with your son, encouraging him and checking back in to see how your son is doing. This is not to overburden your husband, just to encourage him to continue the rel...

scheduling and organizing Ace biology

Hello - For any of the ACE Biology users...could you share how you've organizing your ACE Biology materials for ease of use and is there a schedule of when to do lessons and the activity pack/labs and tests or has anyone developed one? IF so, I would really like to see one. We have planned basically...

Re: Worried about sons reading level extensions

The Bigger extensions really are for children 10-11. I wouldn't for any reason have a 9 year old read the extensions. Even if their reading level is advanced, the amount of work in the guide without extensions is more than ample. Adding the extensions simply "extends" your child's day in an unnecess...

Re: A Gal Chat about Scheduling

I love this thread simply because it underscores that the "opportunity" which homeschooling provides is to carve out a lifestyle that is unique and responds to your families needs. We are all different. And the many seasons we will venture through as wives and mothers and individuals will be quite v...

Rejoicing in that you "found something to celebrate" and did it! So much to be thankful for. May your journey continue to be blessed. And we'll continue to pray for your dad and all of your family.

Re: Preparing very iindependent?

So many good thoughts in this thread. Something that has helped me immensely with my 3rd child (11 yo) in Preparing is that I've trained him to recognize that the "T" means we need to talk or spend some sort of de-briefing time together on the box. He does the work, if he can, independently, but the...

Re: Story of the World, Volume 4

Florence, SOTW 4 is a book that covers MUCH ground in history all over the world! It is a terrific resource and an integral part of MTMM. Truly, when merged with the wide variety of resources contained in MTMM, it provides a fuller picture of world history married with U.S. history of the time. :D ...

Story of the World, Volume 4

This question may have already been asked. I'm just looking over the books for next year and my ds has recently read Story of the World, Volume 4. Any suggestions on what we could do?
