When I first brought my kids home, I put all 3 of them in BHFHG. Honestly, the main reason was that we just couldn't afford another set of curriculum. I bought most of BHFHG used, too. At the time, my kids were in 1st, 4th, and 5th. The following year, they were all combined in PHFHG. Looking back, ...

Why don't you just find a workbook or print pages off of dashed letters/words that she can trace? Don't make her do them, but just set one out every now and then and explain that you trace over the letter/word.

Re: Scheduling help - 2 in RTR; 1 in Bigger
A lot of Res to Ref is independent work, so I wouldn't think they would need you a whole lot. Your child in Bigger will require more of your time, of course. In the beginning, your olders will need instruction, but only until they get into the routine of Res to Ref. I have two in it and they barely ...

Could you combine them in science perhaps? You wouldn't want to combine them in much else, or it would be a repeat for next year for the youngest. Why can't you combine them for whichever guide you already have? Tell me more about their ages/levels.

Tammy, thanks so much for responding. I think I will ditch general science and stick with HOD's choice for Res to Ref.

Are you saying that I shouldn't skip CtC for her? Without modifying it to death, how would it be enough for a 7th grader?

Advice on High school science for my daughter
I am looking ahead to my daughter's high school education and am needing help with what to do. She is going into 7th grade. She is almost 13 years old. She has an August birthday and we started her when she was 5, almost 6 years old. Anyway, my first year of homeschooling, we had little money and I ...

Tammy, thanks so much for you insight into Apologia v. HoD science. I love, love, love Apologia's elementary science and wondered if I wanted to stick with it or just do what HoD suggests for science. Thanks to you, I think I'll choose HoD's suggestions.
