Re: Burnout on a deep level, with parenting
Dear Sisters, I attended most of the workshops of Reb and Beverly Bradley at our state homeschool convention in May. I wept in all of them. However, the truths and love shared in these meetings were life changing and liberating. Visit their website http://www.familyministries.com . If you could purc...

HS Fine Arts Credit?
I will be using RTR, Rev2Rev, and MT with my high school daughter. Will the art/artist study in RTR and the composers/classical music study in Rev2Rev be adequate for a 1/2 credit in Art Appreciation and 1/2 credit in History of Classical Music respectively? Any advice on how to beef it up if needed...

Re: God's Hand In Life's Little Moments
This is a sweet book that reveals Julie's and Carrie's love for the Lord, their families, and each other. Reading this book helps the reader become better acquainted with the precious hearts behind Heart of Dakota. I enjoyed reading it. Marie in FL (:

Hello. I will be a first time user of HOD beginning this summer. I plan on using Creation to Christ with my 14 y/o daughter. She has dyslexia and is not a strong reader. These are the resources she has used for LA so far: some copywork and dictation using the older versions of LLATL, Spell to Write ...

I forgot to mention that Home School Legal Defense Association has great resources and recommendations for children with learning difficulties. Check out their webpage and give them a call. Marie

Re: To the HOD ladies who have children with LD/challenges
I am brand new to HOD using LHFHG with my 6 year old. We homeschool our five children ages 6 -17. My 14 dd and 11 ds both learned to read at 9 1/2 years old. Both are bright, but if tested would probably both have a diagnosis of dyslexia. My 14 y/o has sensory integration issues, and 11 y/o was diag...

Re: math advice
I have always used Making Math Meaningful. However, if I were going to try to supplement or reinforce I might try Mastering Essential Math Skills by Richard Fisher. Keys to...may be just fine as well. Also, check out RightStart Math's level for fractions. HTH

Re: Workbooks
I use Developing the Early Learner: Perceptual Growth Through Motor, Visual, Auditory, & Thinking Skills by Simone Bibeau. There are four workbooks in this series in which I bought years ago through Sonlight. I cut the books apart placing the pages in plastic protectors and 3 ring binders; my childr...

Re: Kindergarten or 1st?
I am brand new to HOD. I just purchased LHFHG for my 6 y/o daughter. She is similar to your daughter in all aspects. She has completed Making Math Meaningful K. I looked on the Singapore website's placement tests and decided to place her in Primary 1A. There were a few areas in the K test in which I...
