schedule modifications for middle school guides?
Advice invited. I am feeling the struggle... I'm trying to streamline my homeschool timetable/schedule. With IEW writing and Saxon Math (evens or odds) as our chosen writing and math, everything overall takes SOOO long. We have from 7:30 AM until 12:45 daily to fit in everything including lunch befo...

Writing update from IEW to W&R for Resurrection to Reformation
So we are loving Writing and Rhetoric along with the CtC year and enjoying it very much. It's so simple to use and my child is doing well. I already bought the new IEW medieval level recently, and then noticed that Carrie is moving to W&R for Res to Ref and am just wondering if anyone has read why s...

Classifying Arthropods link CTC unit 13 day 2 not working
The link for science called classifying arthropods isn't working. Is there an alternative site that has been updated since 2019 for this lesson?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Res to Ref and Mystery of History
Right. I know they use other resources. Just wondering why MOH begins at unit 15. Res to Ref was designed when there was only a volume 1, so just wondering what in the first part of volume 1 prompted the decision to use other resources until unit 15. There's a MOH second edition now and a lot was ch...

Res to Ref and Mystery of History
We began the year with CtC but migrated to Mystery of History Volume 1 while still reading the poetry, Radical Book for Kids, geography (LOVE IT), scripture memory, prophecies about Christ, science, oral narration, the read-alouds, and our own timeline. It's going GREAT!! I'm looking at Resurrection...

Re: Notebooking Pages: plans to print in NON high-gloss paper?
Thanks for your suggestions. I ended up calling HOD and asking if they'd allow a print on demand option with regular paper for us. I told him I'd be willing to pay a bit more for it. The person said he'd never received such a request but would ask about it. I'll be calling again to follow up. I also...

Re: Notebooking Pages: plans to print in NON high-gloss paper?
I would love if they had a non-shiny finish, too! While we have found solutions, they are not ideal, my kids don't like writing on them and they really dislike coloring on them. While my leftie is done school, the fact that pen didn't absorb or dry quickly was a particular trial for him. This is on...

Notebooking Pages: plans to print in NON high-gloss paper?
This is our first year with HOD (Preparing) and the high gloss notebooking pages are giving us much trouble. Does HOD have plans to revise and publish them in NOT glossy paper? It would be much, MUCH appreciated! I'd even be willing to order a special copy for next year as a print on demand version ...

Re: Stories of the Pilgrims: I wish abridged books would indicate they're abridged
I'm looking at the 1912 edition of "Stories of the Pilgrims," available online. From all I've read so far, the one used in Beyond is word for word the same as the 1912 edition. (Also, the foreword of the book used in Beyond does state, "The Pilgrim Stories, as originally written, were read in a num...

Stories of the Pilgrims: I wish abridged books would indicate they're abridged
We're reading through "Stories of the Pilgrims" by Margaret Pumphrey this month. The book is a second edition and published by Christian Liberty Press. The book is included in the "Beyond" package. I'm disappointed to see that the book is abridged. I don't mind the post-chapter questions, but do min...
