Bigger without math, reading and handwriting

If I just want to use the Bigger program for bible, science, history, art and geography, what exactly would I need to order for this? In other words, I plan on using something else for math and English/phonics/reading.

Thanks!

Order of history

Hello All,

I am considering using Bigger for my dd - 2nd grade. My question is concerning why some choose to do American History first versus World History. In comparing HOD with Sonlight I have been pondering this issue. I look forward to your input.

Thank you.

Considering Using Beyond

I have been homeschooling for K and am currently preparing for first grade. We used Horizons and it went very well however I have been taking a close look at Beyond. I am having trouble understanding exactly "how" the student learns if there are not tangible workbooks, etc. for them to write down an...

Re: Placement Question

It seems BLH "fits" better with one concern - history but I can get the Pilgrims book as a supplement. Please let me know if others have had similiar experience with this age level/placement.

Thanks Again!

Placement Question

I would like opinions regarding starting my K5 with Little Hearts or Beyond Little Hearts. My daughter will be six in December. She attended preschool for five hours a week the past two years where she learned basics and did very well. I have also tried to work with her here at home since she was tw...

Controversy regarding preschoolers learning to read?

I happened to stumble over several internet websites/articles regarding teaching preschoolers to read, write, etc. Seems there are those out there who are VERY opposed to this whole matter. I understand not wanting to overdo or push our young ones but what is the harm in trying to feed their curiosi...

New Here - Choosing a Curriculum/Learning to Read

Hello, I just discovered HOD this week and have been quite intrigued by the curriculum, concepts, etc. I have a little girl who turned four in December 2007. She knows her letters, numbers, can write some letters and numbers, (but doesn't know sounds yet ) knows colors, shapes, etc and can write her...
