Re: Week 1 of New Guides
I loved reading about your homeschooling days in each of your posts! Our lives may be different in some ways, but we are so interconnected because we all homeschool with Heart of Dakota. I love those connections and am thankful for them, especially lately! This world can feel disjointed and disconn...

Re: High School Grammar Plan
I don’t have any great thoughts on this since we aren’t quite to high school yet. We don’t use R&S though. For now, we are using IEW Fix it with both our girls. I kind of want to look up Grammar of Poetry now though.

Re: Goals for the Week
You both have some great goals for the week! We are on target to finish our units this week if we can stay strong through tomorrow. We took yesterday off because I woke up extra late.

Goals for the Week
Any goals for the upcoming week? Sometimes, it can be helpful to set small goals each week to help you push through. If nothing else, it’s something good to shoot for and measure progress. For school, we are shooting to get through a full unit with each kiddo (one in CTC and one in MTMM). I would al...

Re: Interest in Reviving the Board?
On another thread, a few mommas mentioned how much they loved the board here, and how they would love to revive it again. :D I shared this on the other thread and thought I would post it here to see if there was any interest? Honestly, it doesn't take a very large group of active momma's to invigor...

Re: Fear the loss of Family time, but we need consistency
I am highly considering coming back to using HOD. We have been doing Master Books mostly this year. While it's working fine I am just not sure that it is the right fit long term. We have mostly been a CM family with workbooks/textbooks thrown in here or there out of necessity during certain seasons...

Re: Week 1 of New Guides
DD is in last few weeks of 12th, using WH, different science, LA (due to Irlen Syndrome), and math. She has worked really hard to get done this early in the year! Hard to believe #2 is almost done HOD! 15yo DS is making his way through his courses. While I miss having him in HOD, the more workbook ...

Re: Week 1 of New Guides
Norrfam, that must be a sweet encouragement to your mama heart to have a week that went so well! We came back to HOD from Ambleside at various points during last semester. Our days were beginning to get fairly monotonous and our family was at a point that I couldn’t put in the time to keep things g...

Re: To Finish CTC or Bump to Res to Ref
Thanks so much for popping back to share a bit more about your daughter. Deciding whether or not to do medication can be such a difficult choice. We have had that with our son Greyson too. I don't like to have him on Humira; but the alternative was continued ER visits and hospital stays with little...

Re: To Finish CTC or Bump to Res to Ref
I just realized I Ieft some answers out. It was stretching her in the area of time management and written narrations before we started her on medication. Now that she is on meds though, she is flying through the work. I suppose her mind has finally slowed down enough to allow her to fly. It was a ha...

Re: To Finish CTC or Bump to Res to Ref
First off, I think your daughter's written narration for CTC is great! :D You can feel really good about what she has written. Secondly, I am wondering how she is doing in CTC overall. Does she seem to be excelling? Is she being stretched in some areas in CTC? We usually tell moms that you want abo...
