Thank you for reminding me to focus on their skills and not their age or grade level. I think beyond is the best fit for them:-).
I am looking forward to it now!
Thanks,
Sheila

Help! Not sure where to start?
Hello all- I am homeschooling my children and started this year off doing Bigger Heart for His Glory for my 9 and 7 year old. I had all the stuff for it and it seemed like the right age ranges for my kids, but it didn't seem to be working well. It was to much in the language arts and while they comp...

OT- Any heard of convergency insufficiency?
Hello all- My son was just diagonsis with convergency insufficiency. After years of sturggling to read and write, being diagonsis with ADHD and a SLD in reading and writing. I guess convergency insufficiency mimics ADHD. Convergence insufficiency (CI) is a common eye muscle coordination problem. Whe...

Re: Switching gears midyear
I am going to be doing the same thing in a way. I am just now switching my oldest two into Bigger I think! If your daughter is willing to review some next year I don't think it would hurt and if everyone is a go I think it is a good idea. Seeing your children play together is just a wonderful thing ...

which program and how much of it?
After trying to save money this year with things I got a used Rod & Staff program for my ds and dd for 2nd/3rd grade. While I like it for the most part it does tend to get boring at times and to textbook like. It also takes more of my time to just plan the lessons, which I don't always have the time...

Re: The Reading lesson and struggling reader
Thanks for the thoughts and encouraging words! I have the CD and used it today and it really helped him. He was more interested at least! I think starting over is probably a good idea and just letting him take his time I guess. My oldest has a disabilitiy in reading so I am used to a struggling read...

The Reading lesson and struggling reader
I am doing TRL with my six year old and he is not doing well at all! He has autism and is verbal only to me, dad and siblings. Even grandparents don't get words out of him very often, it is very rare. Anyways he is doing lesson one and we are one page 13/14 and he has said the sounds just fine but b...

Pretty much doing all the english (R&S level 2) orally is...
Okay so we are doing Rod & Staff level 2 for english this year. Love it. Seems so easy to understand and teach. But here is the thing. We are doing it pretty much all oral. I am not having the kids write everything down as they suggest in the book. Mostly because I have combined my two oldest 9 and ...
