Re: Placement Chart Questions?
Hello, I agree with Rice that when in doubt go with the lower level. You can always beef up the science and literature if needed with out too much extra work on your part. I personally like to have every subject scheduled (except math) as we tend to be more consistent. Also Carrie’s writing across t...

Re: Math help
Hi, Take a look at Math U See Zeta. That might be a good place to start. You can go quickly though it if he can handle it. That would give him a good foundation in fractions and decimals. Then he can jump into pre algebra. I’m not familiar with Abeka. So I’ll let someone else jump in on that one. Bl...

Re: Any resolutions for the new year?
I’ll try to keep this short  With my 18 ds we are focusing on responsibility. I’m hoping to set him up well for college. My 16 ds is focusing on spelling and finishing the day in a timely manner. He is my out door farm boy and runs lots of outdoor projects on his own. He is very responsible on...

Those were fun to read! I always enjoy the oral narrations from history. My dc get so excited about what they’ve learned. The independent History is always fun. Especially the drawings. One of my favorite parts is the research box. My kids eyes always brighten when they get to research on the comput...

I have enjoyed reading everyone’s posts! My oldest is in his sophomore year at Oklahoma State doing a double major in computer and electrical engineering :? His all time favorite book was Count of Monte Cristo. DS 18 is a senior and is studying and taking CLEP tests. He will start next fall at UCO d...

If you want to do LHFHG again with your upcoming 5yr old you could do the first grade science choice if you’ve already done the K science. That might give him something more to chew on.

Re: Transition from Singapore to Principles of Mathematics
The transition has been smooth for us. Principles of mathematics starts off slowly with lots of math history and application. It builds as you go. We have really enjoyed the history and apologetics in the beginning of the first book. I have never used TT so I can’t compare.
