I need to order books for Revival to Revolution year. I can't do it all at one time. Could someone tell me which books are used from week 16 on?
Thank you!

Re: Made a TOUGH but good decision I think!
We've been homeschooling since 1995. One of the biggest things I've learned is: dealing with life is one of the most important homeschool subjects! If we aren't allowing school and life circumstances (good and bad) to flow together in "perfect unity" all you will be doing is schooling at home. Home ...

Re: Struggling with choice: MFW CTG or HOD CTC
I have both of these programs. I am choosing HOD CTC. I will be tweaking it slightly. I have replaced the DK Illustrated Bible with Victor Journey through the Bible. You can easily add or subtract books like Chidlren's Homer instead of one of the Storytime books. We will adding in our own memory ver...

Re: Rod and Staff English and Standardized testing
Thank you, Ladies! This has been very helpful! I think I will do at as Carrie suggests. I prefer gentle and later language arts.

Re: Rod and Staff English and Standardized testing
Thank you for your replies. Should I have him do it 1/2 speed as the manual suggests it gull speed so he would only finish 1/2 the book in his 5th year?

Rod and Staff English and Standardized testing
I really appreciate the way does English! However, we are in a state (after a move last year) where we have to test. I have a 10 year old who will be starting R&S 4 in his technically 5th grade year. Testing wise, will he be okay to only have 1/2 year of the 4th grade book behind him for the 5th gra...

Thank you! I feel kind of dumb asking that. Can I plead that it was after 11:00pm.

CTC history read a loud ?
I'm looking at the TM for CTC I don't understand something. I see under storytime that it says "Read aloud the next portion of the biography that you selected." Do we just pick any biography (or adventure, etc) or is it one of the read alouds?
Thanks,
Polly

Question about HOD high school science plans
I just recently read a post by Carrie about the high school science plans ( http://www.heartofdakota.com/board3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7880 ). I was very encouraged by this! I have a question though. Will you be including creation vs. evolution studies in this? One of my main goals for our homeschool i...

Re: Please talk to me about this
I just wanted to mention that Apologia did not work for my oldest. I felt like there were few options so we persisted until we got 1/2 way through Apologia Biology and gave up. She was not even making 50%. There are so many other options out there now. I can't wait to see what Carrie does with high ...
