Re: Check-in: What guides are you using?
Your 4th grader is not behind in Bigger! While some use it for 2nd, it's true, most use it for 3r or 4th, so with LDs, Bigger should be a perfect fit! (And even Beyond, with LDs isn't unusual. :) ) However, do you have your 1st grader in Bigger, too, or is that a typo? Since your signature says the...

Handwriting?!
There is no scheduled handwriting in this guide. Is this so they can have a break or is it because they start doing spell words? Should I put them in one? I'm wanting to start my son on cursive (he is nine but he has learning disabilities that's keeping him from advancing with his brother, 11yo). My...

Re: How do I run the guide?
Carrie, Thank you for your response. I did have to coach him a lot. He has a hard time focusing so I have to constantly be on him. He also hates writing because he struggles with spelling. He does great with the emerging readers and can comprehend what he reads even though he can't sit still reading...

How do I run the guide?
I have 5 children but my issue currently is with my oldest two. Boy 1 is 11yo and Boy 2 is 9 yo. Boy 2 has learning disabilities so he requires a lot of my attention. Boy 1 loves to learn, excels at many things but he loves to do shortcuts. (and he thinks he can get away with it because I have to gi...

Re: New Edition and Notebooking Pages for Preparing?
Can we still use the older guides? What is notebooking pages? I can't afford to buy new guides for my boys. I'm using the one I bought last year but it was too advanced for them so I took them down one guide. This year they will be returning back to Preparing Hearts that was not over a year ago. Tha...

Re: Hi I Need Help
Hello, Julie. Thanks for the advice. I actually pulled Zander, my oldest out of preparing and but him in his brother's book of Bigger and bought the extension package. It is working much better and it's helping my middle son to work harder and better because now he has competition. My oldest loves t...

New to DITHOR, HELP!!!
We are new to HOD and DITHOR this year. I'm teaching an 11 yr (I have him in preparing), a 9 yr ( I have him in Bigger), and a 6 yr old (she is in Little). My oldest is the only one currently in DITHOR and we both are struggling with the program. The first thing we are having trouble with is the fac...
