Re: So We've Been Using Little Hands

Someone told me they successfully used bright-beginnings between LHTH and LHFHG. So if you finish LHTH early, that might be an option- or you could combine the two.

Bigger question

:D I finally made a decision. I'm going to do "Bigger" with 4 of my dc and either LHTH or LHFHG for K5. Anyway, while I was ordering the books we need,(not an easy feat with 4 different opinions for the read aloud intrest packs,) I noticed that the book packs for the DITHER levels(2/3) had lines acr...

Bigger with several children

If I do Bigger for several children (4)some with extensions and DITHER, do I need to buy double of any of the books?
I know language and math are seperate for each.

Angela, I've only done the 2 mile hike up Hanakapiae, but haven't gone further. It's funny, when you live somewhere, it's just home. Carrie, You should have seen Kauai 35 years ago! There was only one two-lane main road, and one stop light on the whole island. You saw a lot of sugar cane fields and ...

Carrie, thank you for adding on to your previous posting. It has really helped. I just assumed I had to beef it up because of the ages quoted for use. I knew the math and English would need to be specific to her age/ability, but I didn't understand about history and science.

I just want to say E-komo mai! I have three wahines also and two kanes. I don't surf though. I thought at first you were in HI too(which got me excited) but I see you're in the gulf coast. You have to have some HI connection to choose that screen name :P This will be my first year doing HOD too. Alo...

Carrie, Thank you for your reply. I have been in a struggle with HOD and placing my children. Can you tell? We did enjoy doing Beyond-but we weren't doing the English or Math because he was doing LFBC, which covered everything in 1st except History. Even though he had a reading program, it on...

Another suggestion

Having mini video clips on the site of someone and their child/children doing different components of DITHER .

I am a visual learner when it comes to directions. I have never done a program like this, and I would greatly benefit by seeing it in action.

Hope this doesn't sound silly

How could I beef up Preparing for a 7th grader?

My daughter is going into 7th in the Fall. I was searching for a program for her and can't decide. I want to keep her on schedule with our private school becaus I plan to put her in for 9th-12th grade. She's done World history in 6th(A BEKA) and the school does it again in 7th, so since Preparing do...

OK, I decided to continue doing Beyond through the Summer, and switch to Bigger in the Fall. Mainly because he is ready to learn cursive, and ready for R&S2 as well as Singapore 2. This will make it easier anyway, because he will have two older sisters doing Bigger with extensions. They will do Dith...

Can I do Beyond with R&S 2?

My son is finishing up 1st with another program.I got the Beyond manual just to search out the curriculum and did a few lessons with him. He really liked it, so I was going to double up lessons on History, science and Bible in Beyond and start on Bigger for this coming school year. But, my son reall...
