Thanks so much everyone! I have read The Socialization Trap, years ago when it was first recommended on here. I should probably reread it. You all gave very good advice and I so appreciate the time that you took to respond.
Blessings!

High School Social Concerns
Hi, everyone! I need some help that is not directly curriculum related, but I always get such wise advice on this board, I thought that I'd ask. Please delete if not allowed. It's about the "socialization" issue. I actually cringe typing that. Haha! ;) We're in our 13th year homeschooling now. My ol...

Help with finding an older post
Hi! I am having trouble finding an older post. I have searched for it, and can't seem to find it. I can't remember if it was Carrie or Julie's advice, but it was about how to let your kids be done with school when everything is checked off and not adding things after that. It especially spoke to why...

High School Nature Study
Hi! Could the nature study in MTMM be used as a 1/2 credit for high school? If so, what would this be called on a transcript? Thanks!

Question for LynnH
Hi, Lynn! I have a friend who is homeschooling her grandson with CP. I remember somewhere you mentioning using some apps to modify your son's written work. I have searched on here and have not been able to find it. Would you mind sharing those again, please? Thanks so much!

Is the written work done on worksheets, or will be they be doing them in lined notebooks?

US 2 guide science question
Hi! Just curious, although we are not there yet, what types of written work are in the new US 2 guide for science? I know that the IPC and Biology have workbook-type pages to fill out and the chemistry has printable worksheets as well. I did a search and didn't see anything on the US 2 guide. Just w...

Re: CTC-The Story of the Ancient World question
We weren't necessarily saying that they were inaccuracies, just that some of them seem to be history traditions passed down. The Bible doesn't always give us all the details. So, I wouldn't worry about that. So far my son is enjoying the book and I think that it is a good opportunity to show how we ...

CTC-The Story of the Ancient World question
I have a question about the main spine used in CTC, The Story of the Ancient World. I have done some research on this book and it seems that they mesh the Bible accounts with other history traditions. My question is, how do you explain the differences from the stories in the book with the Bible acco...

How are skills taught for learning to study for/take a test?
Hi! I will have a 7th grader doing Rev to Rev and a 5th grader doing CTC next school year. I was wondering, in the guides from Rev to Rev on up through high school, will there be any tests taken in any of the subjects? I am just curious about how the skills of studying for/taking tests is handled in...
