We used MTMM for our sons, and now it is time for my first (of four) daughters to do it.
Has anyone figured out which pages of Persuasion your student read each day to make it fit and are willing to share?
Thank you.

CTC Unit 14, day 4 Mealworm Behavior
As there is no chance whatsoever that we are doing this experiment with real worms, and the link in the book no longer works, does anyone know of an adequate substitute?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Literature in WH standing alone
Carrie says in the grading/credit part of the WH guide that the Literature can be an 1/2 credit by itself. We are only just starting week 2 with it, but I am finding he spends about 40 minutes on it a day. There are written narrations every other week and I know those days will take him longer. We ...

Re: Literature in WH standing alone
Thank you for your reply. I still remember the first time I started highlighting in a text in college. It felt so strange. I wonder what my son will think of it. I will follow the link in your post. Thank you. We love Rod and Staff and have been able to complete a text a year (doing it on the 5th da...

Literature in WH standing alone
My son is 15th and starting grade 10. We are using parts of the WH guidebook for his this year. (Some pieces of his education are happening elsewhere - chemistry, Spanish, math.) He is enrolled in our local community college for ENG 101 for the fall semester. I don't know if it is the same for dual ...

Clarifying release information
Hello fellow HOD friends. I have not been on the board in some time, but as I made some time this evening to begin planning for the fall I came directly to HOD! I had not realized that Carrie had been ill! Carrie, we will add you to our family prayers! We VERY much appreciate your gift to our family...

slightly off topic thank you for Carrie
I am headed on a 6 day trip this weekend that will afford me hours to read that I have not had in over 14 years! I did not know what books to pack to take with me. And then it dawned on me to take the books from my son's MTMM curriculum that he has either finished or will not be using next week! I a...

Supplies for nature journal
I am trying to find the things I need for the nature journal in MTMM. Can anyone give me examples of where they found a hardbound unlined journal? Can you describe what it looks like? Also what do two extra fine drawing pens look like? Is that simply a sharp ball point pen? Is it a sharpie marker? A...

You only have one? I have at least three!Rice wrote:I'd love to see the rubric sheet if you could share it or direct me to it! I have one for sure that will do the least, most sloppy work possible to get by. Unless there is a standard, he won't have something to work towards.

Re: Preparing Question
As we do math and language separately from the guidebook schedule, I have ended up using Preparing as young as third and as old as fifth. When I did it with the third grader I had to help with research and help more with history project. I am thinking about using it this upcoming year for my daughte...

I will email you our schedule. Only 6 kids, but multiple guides. Helps to see how others do it IMO.

R to R withOUT the Exploring Astronomy
My son who is starting grade 7 in the fall in the RtoR book has already done Astronomy in our former co-op. I need to fill in those first 13 weeks with something and am happy to take suggestions. :) Alternatively, I am also considering him doing Swimming Creatures on his own (as a full year and skip...
