Re: French
In that case, I'd probably wait for Getting Started with French, if at all possible, but if not, I'd probably lean towards doing Rosetta Stone as well.

Re: French
I'm not sure how old your daughter is, but for late elementary/middle, another option might be L'Art de Lire, depending on the age of your daughter. We liked it when the kids were younger but the vocabulary wasn't overwhelming (in fact, at first glance, it almost looks too easy), but there a steady ...

MTMM Science Kits
Can someone please tell me if there are enough supplies in the two science kits in MTMM for more than one student to do each experiment, or do all the kiddos need to do the experiment together?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Which program should I start with??
With the situation you describe, I would be inclined to start with Bigger. You could always slow down the Rod & Staff to half-pace and finish over two years, or just focus on writing skills for the coming year. Have you checked the placement chart to see whether Bigger or Preparing would be the best...

Re: Why is the Science in MtMM not Credit worthy for HS?
We're planning to do something very similar to you, Rebecca. We're also in TN (and therefore have a lot of flexibility). We're using Exploration Education Advanced this year for 8th, and I'm planning on using MTMM science more or less as written, but with the other McHenry book added in. Any reason ...

Re: What I WISH I'd known-DITHOR
We have decided to do that very thing this year. I am using the DITHOR book for their nighttime read-aloud, and then they do any assignments the next morning during school hours. Once or twice there have been days when I've done it differently (like "Read 1/2 and then stop to do this part of the wor...

Re: My catalog arrived!
We like to keep one day for "Fun Friday" stuff too.. Also, as the guides go higher and the demands increase, some students may benefit from being able to stretch the weeks' work onto a fifth day. In the past we have also saved the history project or watercolor painting for Friday as well. Come to th...
