Science & History
Hello! I'm thinking about combining my 2nd graders (twins), and my 4th grader in bigger hearts this upcoming school year, using the extension package for my 4th grader. My question is, would he (my 4th grader) still do all of the history & science that's written in the guide with his little brothers...

Math Activities
Hello! Does anyone know if the math activities in the guide book correspond with Singapore Math 2A and 2B, or only with 1A and 1B? TIA!

Rod & Staff English Teacher's Manuals
Hello! I'm wondering if the teacher's manuals are absolutely necessary to order with the student textbooks for R & S English 3 & 4? I'm trying to economize my order a little bit. TIA for any help on this issue!

Re: Subjects Covered
Hi Daneale! Sorry it has taken me so long to respond! We've been working hard at getting school finished so that we can take time off for my mother-in-law's visit. We're taking our spring break a little late this year. We're actually in Minnesota, so we don't have the fire safety or first aid requir...

Subjects Covered
Good Afternoon! I'm wondering if any of you could help me with deciding which subjects Heart of Dakota covers. My state requires that we teach reading, writing, literature, history, geography, government, citizenship, economics, math, science, art, health, and physical education. There are no specif...

Re: Extension Package for Beyond?
Thanks for your reply...sorry I haven't been on the message board for a while, so I didn't see it. These are all good ideas, and I'm still debating what I want to do this upcoming year. There's a lot to think about and consider. Thanks again!

Re: Extension Package for Beyond?
I messaged the Austins on facebook right after I posted on the board, and Mike told me that it was an error on their new website. He fixed it right away, so that's probably why you guys didn't see it. Sorry about that!

Extension Package for Beyond?
Good afternoon! I noticed on the main web page for Heart of Dakota, where all the guides are listed, that Beyond Little Hearts for His Glory is listed as a program for ages 6-8 with an extension package for ages 9-10. However, when I clicked on the guide, I could not find the extension package. I do...

Re: Transitioning from Worktexts to HOD (High School)
Thanks, Carrie! Currently, I'm teeter-tottering back and forth between doing MTMM with both of my girls, or possibly Diana Waring's History Revealed program. It would work out for my oldest daughter to do the next three years in that program, since there are only three time periods available. Also, ...

Re: Transitioning from Worktexts to HOD (High School)
Wow, Carrie, thanks so much! This plan sounds really doable, and I am planning on talking with my hubby about it once he gets some time off of work. My older daughter is looking into either interior design, landscape & horticulture, architecture, or some other field that has to do with design and ha...

Re: Transitioning from Worktexts to HOD (High School)
Thanks for the kind words, Julie! I'm still deciding on what to do with my girls. I was looking at trying to combine them in MTMM, since there are extensions for 9th and 10th graders. It looks like a good fit for both of them...the younger is 13 and the older just turned 15. My older daughter will t...

Re: Transitioning from Worktexts to HOD (High School)
Thanks! We're looking at all of our options right now. We might be going with Notgrass history instead, since we already have decided on Teaching Textbooks for Geometry, Apologia for Biology, Rosetta Stone for Spanish, and Total Health for Health. This will fulfill her 10th grade credit requirements...
