Can someone tell me about the vocabulary study in the US 1 guide? I see that vocabulary is included but I'm trying to decide if adding Wordly Wise is a good idea.
Thanks!

Re: ACE Biology DVD's....
If anyone finishes up with these DVDs and wants to sell them, I’d be interested in buying them to use next year.

Re: ACE Biology DVD's....
How do you all feel about using this science without the DVDs? I've considered the Biology 101 to supplement. I've also considered Friendly Biology dvds to supplement. I'm also thinking about just using Friendly Biology - the entire curriculum vs ACE. But I'm inclined to think that she would like AC...

Re: Composition question
Sorry I didn't clarify. So when I think of some of the types of writing that different curricula cover, I think I of persuasive essay, descriptive essay, research paper, poetry, etc......My daughter is taking an online class which offers writing covering the literary analysis essay where they write ...

Re: Science question
I looked up your graduation requirements and here is what came up: Science: 3 credits, including Biology, Chemistry or Physics, and a third lab course So you can definitely still use the WG science as is and then do biology and chemistry. I do think that EE and MtMM science both help kids get prepp...

Re: Science question
The physical science would be for 8th grade. I don't mind skipping it, but wonder if it would be advantageous if we end up with physics in high school.

Re: Science question
Honestly, I'm not sure. Science is the one area I'm confused about and not sure what to do. My daughter lives and breathes animal science and nature study. She tolerates other science. She'll likely desire a fairly competitive college. So I don't want to short change her in that area. That's my hesi...

Science question
Hi ladies, I have a science question for you. I am not using HOD this year. We decided to use curriculum that would allow us to learn together as a family one last time. We've been using HOD the past few years though. (Preparing, CTC, and RtR) Here's the problem..........I'm thinking ahead because m...

Re: Understanding the differences between HOD and Sonlight
Everyone is speaking of Drawn into the Heart of Reading, a HOD program. I don't have long to respond but just wanted to agree with everyone else's comments. We have used almost everything out there I think, including SL for 3 years. HOD is by far my favorite -for spiritual reasons and academic. We a...

Conventions
Does anyone know yet which conventions HOD will be at in 2017? I see Cincinnati on the Great Homeschool convention website. Is that the only one? I have already made plans to go to the one in South Carolina but if HOD won't be there, I need to switch to Cincinnati.
Thanks!
