Re: Accellerated 11th and 12th grade

My son accelerated his learning so that he could take advantage of a program in my state that pays for college classes junior and senior year. My son did trade school welding for those 2 years. His final semester was traditional academic classes, but the other 3 semesters were welding. It was a wond...

Re: World Geography World Religion has a new book

HOD no longer carries the original World Religion Student Notebook pages. After posting this question, I purchased the new book and the new notebook pages that correspond with the book. The update only affects a few pages in the World Religion Student Notebook. I agree that the new book is enjoyable...

Julie,
Thank you for your response. Wow, the new guide is in color! HOD has been busy with this project to update 140 lessons. Thank you, HOD.

WH Biology

I see that WH has an updated, 4th edition Biology. I have a few questions as I ponder my plans for the following year. Does the new Biology in World History include a schedule? How does the content compare to the previous edition? I have the previous edition DVDs, can these be used with the 4th edit...

Re: What do you look forward to the most in HOD each day?

My daughter is in MTMM, but is using US2 Astronomy that she is really enjoying, both the subject and the Apologetics aspect. It's fun to snuggle up on the couch and watch the DVDs. My son is taking Astronomy at the Community College, he really wanted to take HOD Astronomy. We have lunch right when h...

Re: CTC Extension Books

If you purchased new from HOD contact them for a schedule for A Cry From Egypt. It appears they have subbed out a resource, but have not updated the guide. They provide a copyrighted schedule of the new resource when you purchase from them.

Re: Rev2Rev and MTMM- NCAA requirements?

Yes these guides will work. I would suggest using US1 for Chemistry, Government, and Foreign Language and US2 for Astronomy, Personal Finance, and Foreign language. There are posts her that explain how to beef up those 2 guides, but I found it easier to use HOD plans. My daughter may also do NCAA fo...

Re: Check-in: What guides are you using?

This year my daughter in 8th grade is using MTMM with extensions and US2 astronomy/fossils and US Government. This is the same daughter that was doing preschool guide, LHTH, in kindergarten. My son is a senior and he is attending college full time. He should graduate college with an AAS in welding i...

Re: Medieval Writing Lessons

JasonandHeidi, If you purchased from HOD they will provide an updated schedule. It is usually tucked in the book. But they may have overlooked it. Contact HOD via email or phone and they will correct the problem. If you didn't purchase from HOD they don't provide an updated schedule. The schedules i...

Re: WWTB 1 vs 2

StephanieU, For a variety of reasons, I too skipped WWTB 1 in CTC. I used WWTB volume 1 in Rev2Rev and it was a good fit. My daughter needed more language skills, which is why I waited. I liked that she was more mature, had more LA under her belt, and had more vocabulary. She loved WWTB 1 and was ab...

Re: 9th Grade Science Question

God's Servant, I reread your question fully. If you are considering Biology with co-op, what Biology would they be using? If you can use WH HOD Biology with co-op I would consider that option. I was torn between using WH Biology and US2 Astronomy and Fossils with MTMM. I did have extensive Biology i...

Re: 9th Grade Science Question

God's Servant, In answer to your question about Rev2Rev science, it can count for physical science credit if you used the advanced version of Exploration Education. On EE website it states Advanced is 7-10th grade. To answer your 2nd question I'll share what I have done with MTMM science. I have had...

Re: Delaying kindergarten- need encouragement

Sarah Angeline, I delayed LHFHG with my youngest. In kindergarten she used LHTH with kindergarten resources. Eventually she caught up, though that's a funny term since she is really where God wants her. She is starting MTMM with resources from US1 and US2 (science, literature, government, living lib...
