Cost
I just added up what it would cost to get Bigger w/extensions for my 8 and 10 yo (I will be combining grades 3 and 5). I added the appropriate Math and English. It came to $765! Now I am fine with this but my husband is not. I wish he would see that it is worth it for the kids education, plus that i...

Multiple Guides
How do I teach Preparing and Beyond together? Like would I do Bible from each, then complete the next box for each, going back and forth and so on between students? Or would I complete Beyond before starting Preparing each day?? Thanks!

Re: 3rd and 5th graders in Bigger
He hasn't had any formal grammar. If we use level 4 R&S, will we be behind? I found a placement test for R&S English but there was no answer key. The questions for grade 3 looked like things we haven't covered (they recommended test 2 grade levels below).

Re: 3rd and 5th graders in Bigger
Thanks! So I want DITHOR level 2/3 with level 2 book pack for my 5th grader, level 5 Rod & Staff to split over 5th and 6th grades (he hasn't completed any of the lower levels, levels 2-4, is that a problem?), and just continue what we're doing for math??

3rd and 5th graders in Bigger
Hi all, I'm trying to get an idea of what I want to do in the Fall. My boys will be in grades 5 and 3, they will be 10 and 8 years old. I'm planning to put them in Bigger Hearts, I just have a few questions. Bigger Hearts recommends Level 2/3 Drawn into the Heart of Reading but that doesn't seem hig...

Re: Choosing a Book Pack
He reads the Adventure Bible (NIV). It's for 8-12 years, grades 3-7.

Re: Choosing a Book Pack
He's not using an HOD guide right now but we're dying to come back! We just need a reading program. I guess I would say that he places in Preparing.

Choosing a Book Pack
How do I choose a book pack for my son? I have no idea. He's in 4th grade, turns 10 in November. He's old enough for 5th grade but just barely. He reads really well, but I don't know which grade level he reads at. I'm toying with the idea of having him read the level 2 books because he has never rea...

which level grammar?
for an almost 10-year-old (older 9-year-old) 4th grader who has had no grammar instruction so far, would I start him at level 2 rod & staff? Or is he way too old for that? I wouldn't just jump to and start him at level 4 rod & staff would I?? Thank you...

multiple guides.... how to schedule?
What is the best way to schedule multiple guides? Should I do the first box/subject with each child before moving to the next or should I complete one child's guide each day before starting another guide with another child? Hope that makes sense. Seems like I'll be running 8-5 each day... I have gra...
