Re: New - Lost, Should I Order HOD?!
Should you order? Absolutely. Is it hard running multiple guides? No. You have less prep than planning a year yourself. You are able to balance teaching and foster independant learning through the guides. I too am reselling curriculum I bought for this year but switched to HOD. I am SO blessed by th...

Re: Beyond Morning Bells Question
sigh, this is another plug for just ordering the right book.
I got the eBook and for unit 1, pg 65 puts you in #16 How to Conquor
which I read because I could not figure out what to read otherwise.
thank you for listing the first 4!!
Putting Morning Bells on my next wishlist lol.

Re: Move Up to CTC or ?
I have a reluctant writer. She is 11 and just starting Preparing. I am not afraid to take a curriculum and tweak it for my child. if need be! I would take bigger for her and add in where she is in R&S English, DITHOR, and her own math level if that is what needed to be done to give her more foundati...

HOD crush
So, we have unit one under our belt. It has been SUCH an amazing week! I was nervous about running 3 guides but they are very well planned. In fact, I have a curriculum crush! My little didn't do all his activities each day but that will come. My children are totally enjoying doing their own guides ...

Re: Beyond guide spelling tests?
I haven't really considered the necessity of it. Good thought train... thank you. It's funny. I have been trying to think of things that I need to do to transition into HOD from what we have been doing. Really, I need to just give it a real go as is eh? I seem to be overthinking things.

Re: Beyond guide spelling tests?
another question...
my children are used to working with 20-25 words per week so is it crazy to use lists 1&2 with my son? or do I stick to picking one level's list?
With my daughter, doing dictation in Preparing will be a good change and challenge for her. But wondering about my son in Beyond.

Re: Buyers remorse
Hi Arwen, I am new here. I am using Preparing for my 11 year old with the extension pack Which is top of the age range recommended for that. I am also using Beyond for my 8 year old who is still an emerging reader but will probably (hopefully) be ready to move into DITHOR after Christmas. And 8 is t...

The Sword KJV Bible...
I just got my children these The Sword bibles for school this year. They are KJV and have the words of God in red in the OT, and the words of Christ in red in the NT. Plus, difficult words are underlined and short definitions left in small print at the end of the verse. I am LOVING these. Does anyon...

Re: Problem w/ Energy...Motivation...ME!!
Are you getting good sleep? Are you eating well? Getting enough iron? Drinking enough water? Getting enough devotional time? Doing anything like a hobby or creative activity that recharges you? Bit of exercise? Oh wait, I must be asking myself all these questions..... ha ha. The answers aren't great...
