Re: With embarrassement, i ask for help for placement
Thanks for all your comments, kadies. I was afraid that no one would want to answer me! As far as finishing her work, she did finish her work on some dayys-when she really put her mind to it. On those days, she got done quite early and felt good about her work. So I KNOW she can do it --she has stru...

Re: With embarrassement, i ask for help for placement
hi,
Thanks for responding, I no longer have the program and have had her read all the history from that guide now. So she needs to do a new guide in the fall.

With embarrassement, i ask for help for placement
I will try to keep this short but it is kinda complicated. I started my 13=14 year old in Rev. To Rev. in Jan. and she was doing very well-enjoyed it though didn't always finish a full day due to fatigue.About 6 weeks ago, we stopped HOD, much to my regret. My hubby commented on too much busy work, ...

Looking for idea for home ec. course
Today I was thinking about all the scholarly things my daughters have been doing since way young. And they do good. But I must admit, I have put school before household chores more than once. I am thinking as she get closer and closer to leaving for college, she needs to have some basic skills. So.....

CLEP testing after high school guides-Carrie?
HI, I will be having my daughter going into the high school guide this fall and I am beginning to think about earning credits while in high school. Carrie, do you think the guides will provide enough information the taking a CLEP test after the guide will be possible? Of course, the student will hav...

Re: How to separate my twins
hi becky, I think you hit it on the head-he really can do the work but it is very hard to do it with his brother always do it "better" or ahead of him. And when his brother wants to work ahead, he gets mad because he doesn't want to but feel like he has to~. I like the idea of having the one twin wo...

Re: How to separate my twins
Hi--Thanks Carrie for taking time to answer my post. I understand your thoughts about keeping the one twin in CTC and moving the other twin down. It does make sense, but I do think it might be hard for the one twin to move back a guide. This boy is very bright and catches onto things quickly and gen...

Re: How to separate my twins
Hi Julie-Thanks for answering my post!! My twin who love school (I will call him A) is doing great in CTC. He works very independent and does great work. He is not interested in the Extension books, though. I tried that route!! I guess I could force the issue, but really the problem is that they don...

How to separate my twins
I am debating about next year and possibly splitting up my twins. We are in week 9 of CTC, and one boy is doing very well and enjoys it. The other one feels overwhelmed by the amount of work and is complaining a lot. This is an ADD kid who is super bright and just wants to work on "contraptions" all...

Re: CTC supplies
We've been using CTC for about 3 months now and these are the things that we have used: water containers plastic palette for the paints, and an open area on it to mix the paints 2 different sized flat water color brushes ( they recommend #5 and #8 red sable brushes) 2 different sized flat water colo...

Re: Would my child be able to skip high school?
My first born daughter is very bright and actually skipped a grade when she was in public school. She has a high I.Q., great study habits and motivation. When we brought her home from school, we eventually put her in her "normal" grade for church and co-op and such and it was the best thing we did. ...

Re: Any former Tapestry of Grace users? I need to make a dec
hi, I hope that I am not bugging you. I am still questioning from time to time my plans. As I was praying this morning, I was realizing that one of my priorities is that my children grow spiritually throiughout their time at home. As comparing the two, HOD and TOG, they both are christian based. And...

Re: Any former Tapestry of Grace users? I need to make a dec
Thanks for the replies. I am keeping the twins in the HOD, which I am so very very happy about. I am going to try the last 9 weeks of the school year using TOG with my 13 year old and then I can go to my husband and decide what would be best for next year for her. Although I am sad that she will sto...

Any former Tapestry of Grace users? I need to make a decisio
I will try to make this as brief as possible. My oldest daughter is 16 going into 11th grade next year. We have decided to use Tapestry of Grace for her for the next two years to finish out her high school years. She never had the opportunity to do HOD. I have a almost 14 year old in Reve 2 Rev and ...

How long is Rev 2 Rev is suppose to take?
Hi, I am having a "battle" with my daughter about how much she should get done in a day. She tends to not like working and will do as little as possible. She is using Rev 2 Rev and doesn't always finish the day lesson. There was a part of me that wanted to slow her down so she could do quality work,...
