Re: Would Love Advice on Working 3 Guides
Would it be rude or wrong to specifically post for those with RTR, Bigger, and Beyond? I don't want to overwhelm the board with just me... I know that may sound funny. I haven't had much time to spend on here in the last year doing HOD. We barely survived last year. ;) If you go to the Let's Share ...

Re: Would Love Advice on Working 3 Guides
I second the option of stagger starting the guides. I also recommend looking at the "Let's Share Our Schedules" sticky at the top of the main post, and maybe even a glimpse of some of the weekly check-ins. Someone on there may have 3 guides about the ranges of yours. Combining your younger two if t...

Re: Would Love Advice on Working 3 Guides
When you say you are going to use Bigger for Bible, History and Science are you talking about including your RTR child with this? So you wouldn't have him do the RTR history or science? I would not recommend that at all. So much of the skill building that is in the guides is built into the history ...

Re: Would Love Advice on Working/Scheduling 3 Guides
Last year was our first year with HOD. I had purchased Bigger and Beyond but ended up for the most part just using Beyond for bible, history and science for my 1st grader and 3rd grader. We used Rod and Staff for spelling, and English, and Wordly Wise for vocabulary for the third grader as well. For...

Would Love Advice on Working 3 Guides
In the next week or two we will roll over and start our new school year. I have 3 children and due to their levels I will have 3 guides going this year. RTR, Bigger and Beyond. I am nervous to start wondering how we will fit it all in without schooling all day long( for me at least) and what I will ...

CTC Paint Supplies-Trouble Locating Items
Hi I am getting around to ordering paint supplies. I have not purchased paint supplies before and am not a painter, so the web site miller pads and paper is a bit confusing to me with so many options. I am having trouble locating the #8 red sable brush, not quite sure which 40# lb paper to use as th...

Re: Scheduling For 3 and Overwhelmed
Have you considered perhaps doing Beyond as written with the first and third graders and then doing emergent readers with the third grader? Then next year they would both do Bigger as written except you might add in the extensions for your fourth grader. I did Bigger with extensions last year with ...

Re: Scheduling For 3 and Overwhelmed
[quote="mom23"]Whew! You do have a lot on your plate! We're not running the exact same guides as you, but I struggled for quite a while to come up with a workable schedule for our 3 guides, and the thing that finally worked for me was to use post-it notes. It's a suggestion I found on this board-wri...

Scheduling For 3 and Overwhelmed
Hi I am new to HOD. A little back ground this will be our 5th year homeschooling. We have a fairly large homestead with quite a few animals. My dh travels out of town 5 days a week and has since we began home schooling :/. This to say I and the kids have a lot of responsibility on top of school. We ...
