Re: LHFHG full speed or half??

We also do 4 day weeks to stretch the younger guides. Our 5th day is our homeschool co-op, but you could also use it for library visits, field trips, service projects, aRt projects, cooking, etc.

Re: Help in choosing curriculum...

We use AAR with our 6.5 year old. He started Level 1 a few months after he turned 5, and we're now approaching the halfway point of Level 2. I love that you can set your own pace as you go through the program - we sometimes split a lesson over several days if needed. It's not intended to be one less...

Re: Anyone do LHTH 2 years in a row?

We started at 3.5 yrs old with my middle son. He's now 4.5, and we're only halfway through. We have slowed it waaay down rather than doing it twice. Just another option :)

Re: Week In Review ~ September 30 - October 4

It actually took us around 2 weeks to finish our LHTH and LHFHG units due to sick kiddos and missed days, but we completed the units and had fun along the way! We are LOVING Heart of Dakota, and we're so thankful that God led us in the direction! LHFHG Unit 6: http://mamasmonkeys.blogspot.com/2013/1...

LHFHG Unit 4 - We had a GREAT week! Although we got off to a bit of a bumpy start with LHFHG, we are finding our groove and really enjoying our days now! My son wore his Egyptian collar EVERY day while we did school this week :) Here's our BLOG POST on Unit 4: http://mamasmonkeys.blogspot.com/2013/0...

Re: adjusting to History in LHFHG

Thank you! It is very encouraging to hear that it got easier for your son to follow along :) Day 4 was easier for us, and my son LOVED the continents/oceans on the world map. He was absolutely fascinated by that, for some reason, and even had to show it to Daddy last night. Then, this morning, when ...

Re: adjusting to History in LHFHG

Yes, our children are very similar in age! My oldest will be 6 in December, middle is 4 this month, and youngest turned 2 this past April. My middle son started LHTH a few months ago, but we've been going through it very slowly. Now that we've started LHFHG, I'm trying to begin each morning with LHT...

Re: adjusting to History in LHFHG

That's what I am hoping! He loves Bible lessons, and he's upset that I let his brother (turning 4) answer all the questions for LHTH Bible time. Hopefully, once we are reading Bible stories more often, he will do better with the history box...and then later, when we are reading about important peopl...

adjusting to History in LHFHG

Today was our third day with Little Hearts. My son enjoyed almost everything, and we had a lot of fun! We're having a hard time with the history so far, though, as this intro section in the History For Little Pilgrims books just isn't holding his attention. I had to pause and ask questions quite oft...

Re: New Catalogue

I am in Indiana, and I got my catalog early last week. Maybe you should request another one in case it got lost in the mail?
