Re: Preparing with a 6th grader?

Jennifer, I am currently using Bigger with my 12 yo ds, 10 yo dd, and my 7 yo dd. I do have the older two do the extension pack on their own and they do math and English at their individual levels. I am finding, at least for us, that the books that are included are well within their reading levels a...

Re: Anyone expecting?

Add me to the list! Baby #5 is due in early March. :D Our first year of schooling -- 8 years ago -- I had a baby and a pre-schooler and was trying to do way to much with my K ds. I agree with what has already been said, schooling with a newborn is a piece of cake compared to schooling with a t...

Re: Posting Pictures

I am almost positive that if you delete your photos from your photobucket account, they will "disappear" from anywhere that you have posted them. The actual file is held on photobucket, you are just providing a link to that file on the message board. (At least I think that's how it works.)

Re: Time line suggestions??

A similar question was just posted this morning and I posted some photos of my dd's timeline. You can find it here: http://www.heartofdakota.com/board3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1647 Carrie's way of doing the timeline is so straightforward and easy! We are starting our 8th year of homeschooling and by far...

Re: Timeline Pictures?

Hi my friend! I'd love to show you what our timeline looks like! :D You could have looked at it yesterday when you were here! But, because you didn't ask, I took pictures of Sophie's timeline this morning and am posting them below. :D I don't think I followed Carrie's directions EXACTLY, but I think...

Aww, you all are so sweet! Thanks for saying such nice things about my kids' notebook pages. :D But the beauty of the program is that the instructions are so clear, it really makes it easy for the kids to create great notebook pages! Thank YOU, Carrie! Summer, we live in the Tampa Bay area.......

Hi Summer! We are using Bigger and one of the things I especially love about it is the Notebooking! I love how Carrie provides very specific instructions for the pages. My kids appreciate it, too. In the past, when I tried to have the kids do notebook pages, I expected WAY too much from them, and I ...

Extension Pack Clarification, Please!

We are using Bigger HFHG here. Two of my kids are using the Extension pack. I have also been reading aloud to them the material listed in the TM for history and science. (During this read aloud time my 7 yo dd sits in and participates as well.) My question is, is the Extension Pack supposed to be us...

We've used Singapore for six years over here. They do not include drills in the curriculum, but as an earlier poster said, I have found that through the reviews and continued use, the kids do gradually get them down. I have just started adding math facts copywork each day to strengthen their memoriz...

Mary (MamaMary) called not too long ago to let me know she is all done speaking. She did not have time to give any details, but she said it went well and she is glad it is all over. :D Thank you, all, for your prayers for her, I know she appreciated them! I will be leaving soon to join Mary at the C...

I am currently using Bigger with my 7 yo dd, 10 yo dd and 12 yo ds. (I am also using Little Hands with my 4 yo dd.) I had been trying to do Beyond with my 7 yo and then Bigger with the olders, but trying to do three programs was just too much. :D We have been doing Bigger all together for a couple o...
