Re: Placement question. Ctc or res to ref
Thank you both for taking the time to respond. I think we will skip ctc. She is a strong reader. I don't want to move her so far ahead that she would struggle, but I do want her to feel challenged. Thank you for your help.

Re: Placement question. Ctc or res to ref
Looking at the placement chart, I think she could do res to ref. I am just now sure if skipping from preparing to res to ref is too hard of a jump.

Placement question. Ctc or res to ref
My daughter is 13. We have done phfhg , but we're not able to do ctc this past school year. Is it okay to move on to res to ref and skip ctc. We did preparing at 11 with extensions. Re: New User - Curriculum guidance
Thank you both for your encouragement. I was really going back and forth, but I am going to do Preparing. It really helped to hear that your son also placed in CTC and Preparing was a better fit. I am really excited about HOD. I am sure I will have lots of questions. I am thankful this board is here...

Re: New User - Curriculum guidance
After reading throught the archived post on Preparing, I am thinking I should probably start with PHFHG rather than CTC. Dictation and narration will be new for us and it seems like Preparing would be a good place for us to begin . I think it just bugged me to start her below the recommended age. I ...

New User - Curriculum guidance
Hi. I have been homeschooling my oldest daughter from Kindergarten on. She will be eleven next month. We started with Alpha and Omega Horizons and still use them in Math. We use Abeka LA and have used Apologia science the last two years. (Just trying to give background :) She does well with both Mat...
