Advice for using World History
Hi Ladies, I really want to use the HS World History program next fall with my 10th grade daughter Liberty. I used it in the past (leaving out the living library) with another daughter and it was a lot. I don't think she ever finished a unit in a week. She did not finish the guide by the end of that...

Re: Storing Old Curriculum
I use the bankers boxes you buy and assemble yourself. They are cheap and sturdy enough to hold all the books. I just write the program on the outside of the box as it is not see through.

Science Kits for MTMM
Hi Ladies,
Does anyone know if the science kits (Chem 500 and DNA) can be used with more than one child or do we need to repurchase them for the younger ones coming up?
Thanks for your help,
Shirley in CO

Art Supplies for Fine Arts Credit in World History
Hi Ladies,
I like to purchase my art supplies from Miller Pad and Paper at our Homeschool Conference. I will not have my World History Guide before I attend. Does any one have a list of art supplies needed for the full credit course?
Thanks for your help!

Re: favorite programs for languages
Jennymommy, we have been using Latin for Children by Classical Academic Press, primers A & B. I love this program because it's easy to implement, only 20 minutes a day, it's fun, and you don't need any latin training you learn along with your kids. The dvd's are extremely helpful. The activity book ...

Drug Education
Hi Ladies, I live in Colorado where Marijuana is legal. It is everywhere and many kids use it and think it is okay because it is legal. The pressure to do it is strong. The days of drug users being losers is over. Smart, young, athletic, musical, popular, not popular are all using and telling all th...

Re: Writing in WG
Hi Allison,
Thank you so much for your reply. Ok, so EIW is separate, that's what I wanted to know. Are there any writing assignments scheduled from the BJU lit boxes?
Thanks so much for your help.

French
Hi Ladies,
My daughter really wants to learn French as her foreign language. Those of you who are doing French, can you tell me what curriculum you are using or have used and what you like or don't like about it.
Thanks,
Shirley

Writing in WG
Hi Ladies, If you have used the WG guide will you please tell me if the writing assignments are integrated with the Literature and/or history? I'd like to know if it's just a separate writing program or if the assignments are based on what they are reading in lit and history. Also, could you tell me...

Re: Are extension packages used in place of basic packages?
I am curious about the answer to this as well. Initially I thought they were in addition to the basic history reading, but then there are more recommendations for written narrations for the extentions. For example, in Rev to rev the students have a written and oral narration once a week but if you a...

Re: R&S Grammar Placement ?
Hi Katie, My daughter had one year of CC Essentials and knew all her grammar memory work from Foundations and I put her in R&S 4. She did very well. My older daughter had two years of CC Essentials plus Foundations memory work and I put her in R&S 6. It has been slow going and some areas have been d...

Please pray for better days
Hi Ladies, We started Rev to Rev this year and my daughter just can't get the work done in a day. We are in unit 3. She is not used to the work load and when I suggested she go half speed she cried and said she didn't want to get behind. I'm not sure how fast she can read, but it seems all the readi...
