Re: Page protectors...dry erase markers??

We do this with our guides. It works really well for us.

What should we not miss in RevtoRev and MtMM?

Hello all, I have decided after pouring over the placement chart repeatedly and weighing all the options over and over again (still not totally sure I am making the right decision) to let my daughter (who will be in 9th) skip RevtoRev and MtMM. She did Preparing in 6th (our first year with Hod), CtC...

Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for but kept coming up empty handed when I tried searching.
Blessings!

Time for each box

I feel pretty sure I have seen somewhere a list of how much time each box is supposed to take in the various guides. But now that I really need it because I am getting our schedule ready for next year, I can't find it! I have searched the board to no avail! I am doing three guides, so we need to get...

Re: Then v's Than

Oh. I hope I didn't sound like I was complaining! I am quite impressed by how few mistakes I have found. I have proofread books before, and I know how painstaking a process it can be! I suppose I have an older edition. I bought it second hand. Please know that I totally appreciate the high quality p...

Re: Then v's Than

Is there a place where we can find corrections that need to be made? If not, that would be a good idea to start a place on this board for it. That way we won't have to search all over the forum for a question that has already been answered years ago. Anyone who found a typo could post it to that boa...

Re: So giddy and pleased!

I couldn't agree more! I have told all the homeschool parents I know to use HOD! I wish someone had told me about it when I first started homeschooling!
Blessings!

Re: Younger Child (LHFHG) Jealous of "Projects" in Preparing

I let my kids do any of the art projects that the other is doing if they want to. We are running three guides and there are a lot more way cool projects in Preparing than in the other two guides, so sometimes the younger ones do art with the older one, and sometimes both of the older ones are doing ...

Re: How should I deal with errors in copywork?

That is a great question. I look forward to hearing the answer from someone who knows. My daughter is doing Preparing, but this is our first experience with HOD or dictation. She usually does really well with the dictation passages, but when there is an error, I am not sure what to do either. I will...

Re: Catalog is here and

I kept seeing posts on the HOD yahoo group saying they had gotten their new catalogs and was somewhat disappointed that mine wasn't in yet. I sat down in my husband's recliner today and saw a stack of mail beside it that the children had brought in and put there. I was so excited to see the new HOD ...

Ooh, that is making me look forward even more to when we get to CTC! We are only in the beginning of Preparing right now, so we have a little way to go.

Yay! I am glad I could help. If you want you can come check out the yahoo group I started to interact with other people who are dealing with SPD. It is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christians_with_spd_children/?yguid=211815444 We were once a very active group, but the last few years there has been ...

Re: Finished Preparing

Carrie, That is funny that you compare finishing a guide to saying goodbye to an old friend. We have just recently started with Preparing, Beyond, and LHTH. I am enjoying them all thoroughly! Even though we are in the beginnings of these books, I was flipping through the pages of the Preparing guide...

Re: Learning Styles?

When you say "slow to improve with his reading," do you mean he is not able to decipher the words, or that he doesn't do well in reading out loud as far as intonation and pausing at the right places and such? The reason I ask is because it sounds like you are describing my son a few years ago. He ha...
