Yes, I do have to report a grade. We are in New York. Requirements for 9th grade go up as well.

Placement Advice (9th grade)
Good morning! I am in need of some direction for my son... He is in 8th grade, is 13 years old, and will be completing Revival to Revolution this year. My biggest question is to place him in Missions to Modern Marvels for 9th grade credit, World Geography for 9th grade or keep him back in 8th grade ...

Re: BOX Day!!! +one question :)
Thank you for replying! We would want to finish the DVDs. They do take a large portion of the day. I have to return them by end of June, so that is the only deadline I would have. The main reason I wanted to start HOD was to see if it is a fit for our family. Mostly for me. I *want* to be a super gr...

They are more excited than I thought they would be and keep begging me to start right away. :) My question is this....Would it be okay to do A Beka DVD (which...

Re: A Beka to BHFHG?
Thank you! That is very helpful. I didn't think about the comprehension part of it. He reads 2nd grade A Beka readers now and answers the questions with good comprehension. Just starting at the beginning with the ER, but speeding things up a bit is a good idea. I placed my order yesterday afternoon ...

Re: A Beka to BHFHG?
Well, I think I have decided to put James in Bigger with Emerging Readers to begin with and the Boy interest storytime books. We did the placement test with Singapore and he really would need to start with 2A. I am still concerned about switching gears with him on the math. :? I am going to give the...

Re: A Beka to BHFHG?
I should also add that in the placement chart they both have some circled in Beyond Little Hearts, but James has more circled in Bigger and Laura has more circled in Little.

Re: A Beka to BHFHG?
Thank you for your reply! I got the catalog in the mail yesterday and spent all last night going from catalog to website. ;) I am leaning toward Bigger for James with R&S English 2 and A Beka 3 cursive for practice. I am not sure about Singapore for math. I see there is a placement test I think I wi...

A Beka to BHFHG?
Good morning, We are looking into your curriculum for our children for the upcoming school year. I have been intrigued by the Charlotte Mason style of homeschooling for a year or two, but have hesitated in purchasing a curriculum in this fashion. I have two children who are currently in the A Beka D...
