Re: So I'll do the dirty deed.....

Look at an HOD post. Hover your mouse over the upper right hand side of the post and a little arrow will appear. Click on the arrow, and it will give you the option to click on "all updates." HTH! My FB is not doing this. I don't have that option. Hmm. I wonder why. Am I the only one? I, also, have...

Reader placement

I just went to the convention today and purchased Bigger to combine my 8 and 9 year old. I purchased DITHOR level 2/3 for my DD9 with the level 2 readers. She probably could had handled level 3, but I'd rather not push her. My question is for my DS8. He falls right at the end of the emerging readers...

Re: Please help with placement

Thank you so much for the suggestion. So even though my DD has done cursive 2 years in a row and is still not comfortable, its okay to place her in Bigger with my DS? I am pretty sure my DS5 would place in Little Hearts. We are working on his letter sounds and he knows 3/4 of the alphabet (he has ha...

Please help with placement

I have a 9, 8, and 5 year old whom I'm trying to plan for next year. Next school year is probably not when I will start though after all this looking at and researching I have been doing. I want to start NOW. My children are currently doing SOTW Ancients for History and if I hear one more moan when ...

Conventions

I am just wondering if the guides are available to purchase at the conventions or if I would need to still order. If so, is there a benefit to ordering at the convention rather than on the site?

Bigger and bible choices

I was looking at the bible choices for Bigger which I plan to use in the Fall (or sooner...possibly in 12 weeks if we decide to switch to year round schooling). Anyway, I looked at the Bible choices on Amazon and they look extremely basic. I believe I'm referring to the bibles that come along with t...

Re: Not sure how to handle choosing readers

Is there a list of suggested titles so that I could purchase everything I would need?

HOD Spelling

We use Rod & Staff for Spelling currently. I'm wondering how spelling works using HOD. I have seen I can use my own Math, and English program. I also noticed there is vocabulary, but what about spelling? Do we get spelling lists with each week? If so, is there a sample of this? I'm also wondering if...

Not sure how to handle choosing readers

Im looking at using Bigger with my 8 and 9 (10 in Sept) starting in August. I may order sooner and start sooner if I decide to switch to schooling year round. I'm looking at the emerging readers and independent readers for 2/3. I'm thinking level 3 with my 9 year old, but I'm unsure about my 8 year ...

Re: New here - placement questions

Thank you for all the responses. I checked out the placement guide. I really want to avoid splitting up my 8 and 9 year old because that is too much for me. I know me and it just won't get done. I know someone said that putting them in the same level makes more work for me. How so? My 8 yr old has h...

New here - placement questions

Im thinking of switching things up next year (or maybe even sooner) to make school more fun for my children. Things just seem so bland as of now. I've been looking at HOD for a few days now. My first question would be where to place my 8 and 9 (will be 10 the start of the new school year) year olds....
