Hi. I have only been using HOD for a few days. So, weigh my opinion as such. :lol:

I like the idea of having the historical fiction that goes along with the time period, but I am very careful (some might say over protective) about what my children read. I am of the mind set... Garbage in Garbage ...

I love the bit by Mark Lowry.... Where he talks about how Christ come to give us life... more abundant.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. We stood in line for the visitation for an hour and a half. It was beautiful. They had a sweet slide show of pictures. When I left the vistiation there was still a long line of people. It was awesome....

My two cents... and please just take it at that.....

If life needs to be made simple.... make it just that. Cover the basics and then what you have time for....

Another idea would be to do the readings at bedtime.
