Re: How to get high school life or biology credit
Thank you LynnH! So, would you change this upcoming year's science with Res to Ref at all? I was thinking I'd do Biology 101 plus PAC Biology as both sound lite, without a lab, but have her also do Astronomy as scheduled so she'd cover it since she never has. This is so hard to plan!

Re: Beefing up RTR Carrie can I ask now : )
If I beef up RTR as you've suggested, do I still include extensions? It seems like a whole lot on top of the additional reading you've suggested. Thanks!

Re: How to get high school life or biology credit
One other question: Will we get enough labs in these to count as a lab or do I need the biology lab?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: How to get high school life or biology credit
She's never studied astronomy or earth science. How would you suggest we cover that too? (We do look at stars and planets in the sky with an app for the iPad but she's never really covered this in depth at all.) So should we do the science in RTR plus Biology?

How to get high school life or biology credit
I am trying to plan out my dd14's high school. She is doing CTC now after using Prep last year as our first year in HOD. She has very mild special needs that require her to do about twice a typical math load in order to gain a full understanding of math concepts. She also reads very slowly and strug...

Highschool placement and credits question
Hi all. I am using CTC now. We did Prep last year. I have 4 kids. Because of their varying skill levels, they are all in Prep and it works great for all. My youngest actually does the best job with narrations. He is adopted from Korea and it is just his gifting or bent. So… I have a 14 y.o. in 8th g...

Preparing poetry
Can you tell me if any of the poems in Preparing are scheduled to be memorized? If so, which ones? I wanted to print and laminate any that are. Also, my children are really struggling with the writing portion of the poetry. We have memorized poems before, but not done much writing. To have to try to...

Re: notebook for preparing
Thanks! Do you mean you just used someone's blank pages that were prettier than plain paper?

are there note booking pages for preparing?
I thought there were, but don't see them. maybe I just am confused! Thanks. I need to purchase them if there are, but also was wanting to specifically see samples of the cursive.

DITHOR Book list choice
Do you have suggestions for how we decide which book list to buy for our kids for DITHOR? I am wondering if this is a place we should be trying to stretch our child in reading or if they'll get plenty of that in Preparing? I know I've read that I should be asking of them to read some books a bit out...

Re: Can you help me with placement?
Quick question -- we use italic now. Is there a comparison somewhere or explanation of why you recommend Cheerful Cursive? Thanks! My dd12 does well with italic but I was wanting to introduce something fancier for her for fun. She likes trying to make her print and cursive pretty.
