Re: Using Guides with Extensions
I used Bigger a couple of years ago with all 3 including extensions with my older son and daughter but it was a difficult to use because all of my children were at different abilities. So the following year we did other things. I tried going by the placement chart but it still seems difficult to det...

Using Guides with Extensions
I am concerned about continuing using the guides with extensions with my daughter who is going into the 7th grade as we approach high school. I would like to use Preparing with my two sons who are 11 and 9 and Creation to Christ with my 7th grader. I would like to combine them all in Preparing for t...

Re: Preparing and Creation to Christ
Thank you so much for your advice on how I could possibly proceed. I am definitely going to finish Bigger with my youngest son since that was a big guide for him and possibly with my 10 yr. old son. I am going to do Preparing with my oldest including the extensions. I am still unsure whether I could...

Preparing and Creation to Christ
Hi, I am looking at my curriculum choices for next year. I have 3 children. My daughter is 11 and will be 12 in the fall. My oldest son is 9 and will be 10 in August and my youngest is 8. He will be 9 in January. We did Bigger Hearts this year but did not finish it; however, I am considering doing P...

Re: Bigger Hearts or Preparing Hearts for His Glory
Brandi, I think I like your option 3 the best as well. I think that only option 1 or 2 will work only if my youngest can keep up with the History and Science in Bigger. My youngest has been introduced to the parts of speech already and is able to write simple sentences. I may be able to use the Prep...

Re: Bigger Hearts or Preparing Hearts for His Glory
Thanks for the suggestions. I really appreciate it. After reviewing both Bigger and Preparing and all of the comment, I think it is better for me to start with Bigger and use the extension package for my daughter. It does seem better to scale everything up verses scaling back for my youngest. I do n...

Bigger Hearts or Preparing Hearts for His Glory
Hi, This will be my first year homeschooling my children. I am trying to decide which program to use for all 3 of my children. My daughter is 10 (5th grade), my oldest son is 9 (4th grade) and my youngest is 7 (2nd grade). I have looked at the program selection chart, program placement chart and the...
