Thank you both for the replies! It looks like there is a new catalog being sent out this week also. Am I reading that correct?
Thank you again!

New LHFHG guide
Hi All, I have been reading everyone's posts and I keep seeing it mentioned about a new LHFHG guide that is coming out. Is there a link or something to find out more about this. We are currently about half way through the "old?" guide. I would love to find out anything that anyone knows! Robin curre...

Re: What order do you like to do the guides?
I would have to agree with the above post also. We had to take each child's hardest subject and do that one first or we found it hard to finish for the day. We also do the one on one while others are doing things that are independent but primarily stick to the science and art projects until the end ...

Re: What should I use for Literature supplement?
Thank you Carrie! This helps so much to have peace about what to do. Is it possible to do DITHR with the 11th (stuggling student) for 2 more yrs.? He does only half-speed English, which is getting easier. In light of that, he is unable to do any of the writing assignments in the Write With the Best ...

Re: What should I use for Literature supplement?
Melissa and Carrie, Thank you for getting back to me! I'll try to answer questions from both of you in one reply... :) The two oldest boys (21 and 19) used Abeka and did not enjoy it, but did it. The oldest girl (18) is still working through My Father's World. I never switched her to HOD as she was ...

Re: What should I use for Literature supplement?
Thank you so much for the input--I'm still looking at other things I have used for the older kids and not definately decided yet on any certain path just yet-- except the fact that they are all staying with HOD for the main guide. Has anyone used "The Exciting World of Creative Writing" that is sugg...

Re: Advice on High school science for my daughter
Hi Amy, I have tried several attempts at using Apologia's General Science with different kids and never did get more than 2 modules in because they hated it so bad. On the other hand, the Apologia books that are used in the different HOD guides the kids have all loved. I believe the younger grades a...

What should I use for Literature supplement?
Hi Carrie, I just had a question about what to supplement my boys with for Literature. The 3 boys are all doing Rev to Rev as 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. They are all following the HOD sequence as they are doing HS. Should I have a different supplemental Literature for each one or all the same. I se...

Re: Intro and please tell me if this is crazy!
Hi Rebecca, I have 10 children of my own and have been helping my sister teach her children also. My oldest two are grown and gone so I still have 8 at home with the 5 extra. This has been my experience... for whatever it is worth...:) I have tried multiple curriculums over the years to try to simpl...

Re: What guides are you doing?
Hi Carrie, I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work you have put into these wonderful guides. The choices for books are amazing! We started last year with HOD after seeing the curriculum at the MACHE conference in MN. Currently we are using: LHFHG(dd-6;dd-4-tagging along;18mo.-tagging a...

Re: I need help deciding: Weaver or HOD
I have never posted ANYTHING before, but I read through this whole post and am dying to know which curriculum you ordered! We used Weaver for a couple of years way back at the beginning and have used HOD for 2 years now. We absolutely love HOD for all the things that everyone else says!
