Preparing Cursive, Computer skills/tech question

Hi! Just wondered if anyone had some suggestions. My dd who is 9 can do the cursive in her Preparing assignments- but some days there is a lot of it and it takes a long time. and it drags the day on..... Part of me wonders if I should have her to start doing keyboarding when it says to do cursive......

BLHFG and Preparing

I will have 2 in Beyond and 1 in preparing. Since Preparing is a 4day program and Beyond is a 5 day program, should i just decide if we will ALL do a 4 day program or ALL do 5 day program??? Meaning if we ALL do 5day program i would have my Preparing child just move onto the next day? thanks, carrie

No- you are not the only one feeling this way! I've been feeling this lately a lot- lonely and anxious about it at times- which is not like me at all. last night i got a good pep talk from a lady at church i look up to that has hs her children. she reminded me that satan was attacking the good he is...

dithor question

my daughter did dithor level 4-5 last year as a 3rd grader- we pretty much finished it.....can we use level 4-5 again but use different books?

What are your suggestions? just wonder if jumping to level 6/7/8 would be too big of a jump.

thanks, carrie

preparing or creation? Julie and others advice plz

We did our first year of homeschooling last year- it went pretty well. My biggest lesson I learned is that I have to say no to others to be the best teacher for my kids! (and that is hard- especially when it's ministry related) My question is about my dd who is 9 (birthday in April) and is going int...

We are now starting adventure so for example my dd would start reading "RIding Freedom" ...

Newbie Question:Tests and Skill Mastery w HOD

Newbie question:I haven't noticed any tests to check for mastery in HOD? I'm using everything suggested by HOD for Bigger and LHFHG.

How do you check for mastery when homeschooling and using HOD.

I hope that wasn't a really dumb question!

Thanks in advanced!

Re: What to do if dictation is way too easy? and more

My dd is doing Bigger and we do not have next years manual as this is our first year homeschooling and she's our oldest.

I really don't think skipping some will help as I have looked ahead at the others and feel it will be too easy.

Thanks and appreciate your ideas and suggestions!
