Re: So giddy and pleased!
I always love when former teachers give a curriculum such praise! I agree about the Bible integration and how it effortlessly flows into every subject! This is what initially drew me into HOD and is keeping me here!! I love to share our success with HOD and figure if they don't use it they are the o...

That's great news! I love dictation too, it is so much more fun than spelling lists!

We have finished RTR!
This was our first year with HOD but definitely will not be our last! My 13 year old daughter just loved this entire curriculum. I never heard her say this was boring or too hard! She worked very diligently and mostly independently throughout the year. I am glad that I took the time to carefully exa...

Angie,
Thank you for the encouraging words. Everything you have said just reinforces in my mind that keeping my children at home for most of their learning is what God's plan is for our family.

Re: Day 5 Of Preparing...What do you do?
That is a great question. We are nearly finished with Preparing and for us we only used Preparing 4 days a week because our co-op met on Fridays. However, I will say that rarely did we complete 1 unit each week but would just keep plugging away with whatever day came next. The units flow together so...

Re: Rev2Rev testimonies on Board Index?
I too am anxious to hear some testimonies on RevtoRev especially from those families that have used it with high school age children. How did it go? What did you use to complete your English, history, Bible and possible government credits? Did anyone beef up the music study for credit and if so what...

Re: Beyond in 1st, the guides only go thru 11th? Then what??
Michele, Hi, I am in the same situation as you and go back and forth about even letting my children dual enroll, which they can do free as soon as they are freshmen in high school. I have always felt like I want to give them as much education as I can with a Biblical world view so they can be sure o...

Re: Singapore Math question
Thank you Beth! I think I will start out with the Instructors guide for the first book and see how it goes. Do you use the US edition or standards? I have heard good things about both.

Singapore Math question
I have decided to place my dd 10 into SM. She places into 3B and I would like to start now. We have never used this type of math before, so I am not sure exactly what I will need to teach her the mental math concepts. Would I be able to use just the WB and TB, or would it be beneficial to get an Ins...

Re: Worldview in Rev to Rev - is this adequate for HS?
Great question Florence, I was wondering the same thing. Looking at samples and reviews, it looks like it would work fine for 9th grade. We may try to use it together as a family study with dad! I will be watching the responses from those who have already used it.

Re: Supplementing Rev2Rev with Notgrass for HS?
Carrie, Thank you so much for your lengthy response to all of our HS questions. Your response has eased some of my fears about using Rev2Rev for HS. I am so excited to piece together my daughter's freshman year using HOD! Like others have said there is just nothing else like it out there! I'm glad I...

Re: Rev to Rev for a High School Sophomore
Wow Florence! Your schedule looks great. This would get my dd very excited. She loves to have lists and organize her day like this. Unfortunately I'm on the ADD side and I would have to basically copy this type of schdule to make it happen in our home. I always have great "ideas" they just rarely ge...

Re: Supplementing Rev2Rev with Notgrass for HS?
Sarah, Tiffini and Florence, Thank you for all your great ideas. I have even more to look at and consider for next year. I will add in one thing and that is my son is finishing MFW AHL for 9th grade and I actually think my dd in RTR has more work than he does with his core subjects of history, Bible...

Re: Supplementing Rev2Rev with Notgrass for HS?
I am having a lot of these same thoughts and questions as I prepare to teach my dd 9th grade next year using Rev2Rev. My initial thoughts were to use Rev2Rev with extensions as written and add in government. Then I started to question if this would be "enough" for a HS credit. I really want her to u...
