Re: what to do for kdg next year??
Thank you all for your thoughtful replies! Sounds like I need to get LHTH and do that NEXT year with both kids. I already have LHFHG and will do the right side with my son. I think I can handle that! They are so funny. If I let them stay up later than the rest of the kids, they really know that I lo...

strong willed children
I've got 3. Yikes. I must have been really hard as a child to reap this! :). Wanting to hear your best advice for dealing with this. My ds5 is manageable now which is a blessing but my dd3 has picked up where he left off and my ds1.5 is beginning to pick up speed. I'd read a book but I'm so tired I ...

Re: Is anyone else huffing and puffing?
Wow, you are all amazing! I just realized we being on unit 9 will be doing Beyond until she's in high school if we don't pick up the pace. I think I'm heading towards year round school with lots of days off in the spring to enjoy the weather.

Re: So frustrated
As I type, the baby is sleeping, the oldest is reading with Grama, and the 2 middles (Bonnie and Clyde as I like to call them) are painting like mad and actually getting along! I had a rough week when I first posted. I honestly felt I had made a big mistake in pulling them from school but God has co...

Re: So frustrated
Thank you for the quick replies. I didnt even bother buying a guide for ds this year. I knew my dd would do well but decided to get math and phonics (math u see and explode the code) and just work on those. I figured I would have trouble getting him to work on just those two things and I was right. ...

Re: I may have picked the wrong guide.
Thank you for the helpful replies. I think she is smack dab in the middle of beyond and bigger. When I first started in my discernment of homeschool, I felt like easier was better....work on virtues and character and the academics would be successful. Now, two weeks in, im fretting that she's not ge...

Hi there. My 7 yr old dd is doing Beyond. I am loving the gentle approach but Im wondering if its enough for her. The spelling is way too easy for her so I am finding words from her DITHOR book and storytime and thats working fine. New to homeschool and not really getting the copywork part. She is a...
