Re: Burnout on a deep level, with parenting
ME again! :)
I just noticed there were more than I originally thought who mentioned hormones/glandular system.
I forgot to mention that my adrenal glands are slightly stressed also (according to the tests). All of this CAN really affect how you feel physically and spiritually even.

Re: New to Heart of Dakota: placement???
Thanks Jen D....
Yes....looking over the sample pages of the guide, I do believe it will work out well for my 6.5 year old. He won't turn 7 until February, but still...I think he's going to do very well using this guide. My other option was to start bigger with both he (him? :? ) and my older son ...

Yes, Julie! It's a good feeling to have a basic plan! :)
Thanks for celebrating! I will do my best to remember to get on here and share my box day with you! ( unless I'm having sooo much fun I forget!)

Yes...I see what you mean. I think he will be all set....and I believe he will actually retain information I never retained and enjoy learning too!

Re: New to Heart of Dakota: placement???
Thanks so much for your help. I am thinking that's probably what I should do. That was my original plan. (It's usually the original plan that is best, huh?). I really will have all of the basics covered, as you said. I figure I will go ahead and beef up the oldest's year with a science supplement ...

He has done a Spectrum phonics 1st grade workbook this year...and it will be completed in another month or so.
I'm not sure how ...

New to Heart of Dakota: placement???
Hi lovely ladies! :)
I've been looking over Heart of Dakota for some time now and am struggling to decide which guide to use with my oldest two boys. Ages 6 1/2 and 9 when September rolls around. I've considered Beyond...although it is a little out of range for my 9 year old who will be doing 4th ...

Testing...Testing...
Hi! I'm new here! I just wrote a very detailed post asking for wisdom on where to place my children in the Heart of Dakota curriculum. I don't think it got posted, so this is my test post...to see if this is working!
