Re: Sneak Peek #1: New World Geography Guide
My son is in 9th grade this year and I am desperately searching for a great Biology course for next year. Could you give your recommendations for Biology? He is doing the advanced version of Exploration Education Physical Science this year and is LOVING it! So, I'm confident your suggestions will ag...

Re: High School half speed on the HISTORY side only?
There is no doubt that I need to work with my son on being more responsible, and organized. He's been a tough one, but definitely adds flavor to our family! :D Developing good habits will take a lot of work for him because so many bad ones have crept in and bad habits are tough to break. But, I do p...

Re: High School half speed on the HISTORY side only?
Gwenny, He is not a big fan of reading....which is part of the problem. He likes to listen to me read, but not a big fan of independent reading, but I do agree....he needs to be reading more on his own, and last year with RtR was good for him because he did read much more on his own. I liked that an...

Re: High School half speed on the HISTORY side only?
Bumping. Would really like someone to say this sounds like a good option, or that it doesn't look like it would be enough. I am truly leaning toward doing half paced history for all of high school. I'm not sure how it will all play out, which is what is holding me back a bit, but I'm thinking I woul...

Re: High School half speed on the HISTORY side only?
That's a great suggestion about World History. I may be able to supplement and make that happen. Thanks.

Re: High School half speed on the HISTORY side only?
I agree that colleges will want students to have certain credits. But, ultimately I decide if a credit is awarded, and from what I understand, a credit is approximately 120 hours. I believe that he could accomplish 120 hours in history per year even splitting the history portion down to half. So, he...

High School half speed on the HISTORY side only?
I apologize in advance for the length, but here goes: Has anyone done the guides half speed on the HISTORY SIDE only for High School? I have the Rev2Rev guide for my son's 9th grade year, and will be adding in foreign language, our own devotional study, some government and videos, doing a different ...

Re: Living books for Biology
I just looked up Biology on the Search and found that Carrie is planning to incorporate ACE Biology into the Geography High School Guide. I haven't looked at it at all, but thought I'd throw that out there for those of you who hadn't yet seen that. She did not mention living books, though, so I am a...

Re: HS question: Incorporating the beef-ups
deltagal~ Thanks so much! That does help clarify. I do love all the books so much, that I'm not sure I want to skip any....even if they are not required, however my son may not feel the same way (as he is not one who LOVES to read as I do). So, I will really have to think about and pray about whethe...

Re: HS question: Incorporating the beef-ups
I'm enjoying this thread and all of the great ideas! I have one also going into high school next year using RevtoRev. However, I always thought the extensions were in addition to the Reading About History box. Could someone please show me where it says otherwise? I certainly don't want to assign mor...

Re: Half speed except for English and Math in RtR???
Thank you ladies for all your prayers, suggestions, ideas, etc! :D My son has done great the last couple of weeks since my original post! :D He has not only completed his school each day, but he has gotten completely caught up in all but his Medieval Writing Lessons, and he will be caught up with th...

Re: RevtoRev's Exploration Education Physical Science
The link you gave me was about scheduling. So, not exactly what I'm looking for. LOL!
I am wondering if the Exploration Education Physical Science curriculum scheduled in Rev to Rev is Christian?
Thanks.

RevtoRev's Exploration Education Physical Science
Is this curriculum Christian? I'm pretty sure we're going to use it, but I have other friends that don't use HOD that are asking me questions, and that's one I'm unsure of.
